Mary Dalton and Abigail Rorer at MUN Botanical Garden

The Book Arts Association of Newfoundland and Labrador is delighted to partner with MUN Botanical Garden to host a joint-presentation by renowned wood engraver Abigail Rorer and acclaimed poet Mary Dalton as part of the Garden’s Twilight Tuesday series.

Mary Dalton will give a brief reading from her manuscript entitled “Waste Ground,” which features poems about local, often-underappreciated plants.

Abigail Rorer will speak about her work creating intricate, and sometimes cheeky, wood engravings of a range of flora and fauna. Rorer will be creating illustrations to accompany Dalton’s poems for a forthcoming publication.

Date: July 12

Time: 6:30 – 7:20

Location: MUN Botanical Garden

Cost: Free with admission to the Garden

We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts and the League of Canadian Poets.
