Scottish Printing

Marking 500 years of Scottish printing, this chapbook  included a brief introduction to the origins of printing in Scotland, a poem by James Logie Robertson celebrating the coming of the chapman, and an essay about a purveyor of cheap literature written by Isobel Cameron. It included, as well, two reproductions of 15th-century wood blocks.

A joint publication between Incline Press (of Oldham, England) and Running the Goat, this chapbook was printed by Graham Moss and Marnie Parsons in April 2008 at Oldham.

The type was cast by Harry McIntosh at Speedspools, Edinburgh. The papers are Zerkall, with a pattern paper cover designed by Margaret Calkin James.

The photos are by Ned Pratt.
