What a wonderful day we had in the shop on Canadian Independent Bookstore Day (April 27th). So many friends—old and new—dropped by. The shop was abuzz all day.
Thanks to all who made the trek to the cove, especially our visiting authors—Bonnie Johnstone, Dale Jarvis, Don McKay, Willow Kean, Allison Graves, Xavier Campbell, and Heather Barrett. It was wonderful to welcome you to the cove. Thanks to William Ping, who dropped by to do a little story on the event for CBC-NL. Thanks to our ace sales team Kristina and Rachel, and to the good folks at the Canadian Independent Booksellers Association, who put such hard work into ensuring the day was a success for stores across the country, and to the many sponsors who offered giveaway items for us to share with customers.
It really was a day about celebrating and creating community. We're already looking forward to next year's celebrations!
