Land Acknowledgement

Running the Goat respectfully acknowledges the island of Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland), the land on which it operates and creates, as the ancestral homelands of the Beothuk, whose culture has been irrecoverably lost, and the unceded, traditional territory of the Beothuk and the Mi’kmaq. And we acknowledge Labrador as the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Innu of Nitassinan, the Inuit of Nunatsiavut, and the Inuit of NunatuKavut. We are grateful to live and work here, and to share stories that respect and celebrate its cultures and traditions.

Running the Goat, Books & Broadsides gratefully acknowledges support for its publishing activities from Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation through its Publishers Assistance Program; the Canadian Department of Heritage through the Canada Book Fund; and the Canada Council for the Arts through its Literary Publishing Projects Fund.
