Abigail Rorer is a wood engraver and the proprietor of The Lone Oak Press, which publishes limited edition, fine press books featuring her engravings. She lives on a farm in Petersham, Massachusetts. Abigail spent August 2010 as the artist in residence at St. Michael’s Printshop in St. John’s, and fell in love with Newfoundland.
In July 2016, she returned as a visiting artist at Running the Goat, working on a new Lone Oak Press book inspired by her visits to the gannetry at Cape St. Mary's. That book, The Idea of Geometry, with texts by Marnie Parsons and Bill Montevecchio, is available through Abigail's press, as well as in Running the Goat's shop.
Abigail’s engravings were perfect complements for Joel Thomas Hynes’s God Help Thee: A manifesto and Mary Dalton's Waste Ground.
