Sahar Abdallah is an Egyptian-Canadian children's book illustrator based in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. She studied art education and painting in Egypt. Since her graduation, she has authored and illustrated several books; her latest, Maimun, was published in German by Baobab Books in 2024. The tradition of folk art and culture in Egypt is an important source of inspiration for her artwork. She has received numerous awards, such as the international award for Arabic children’s literature (UAE) and the State incentive award (Egypt). Her illustrations are currently shortlisted for Nami concours 2026.
